Serengeti Wildlife Safari

Day 1: ARRIVE AT KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (JRO)

We will meet you on your arrival Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer you to your overnight lodge in Arusha. Welcome to Africa!

Day 2: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
We will leave early in the morning after breakfast for Tarangire National Park. Your first experience of safari life will be the thrilling game drive through the vastness of Tarangire National Park. Game driving through the park, you will marvel at the beauty of this pristine wilderness before arriving at our overnight lodge.

Day 3: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
We will leave early in the morning after breakfast for game drive in Lake Manyara National Park again. We will spend the rest of the day game viewing in the park and around the lake which is known for its big population of Flamingos. Our concentration today will be on the western part of the Park and the Maji Moto area. In the evening we will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
We will leave early in the morning after breakfast and drive to Serengeti National Park. We will drive through the small town of Mto Wa Mbu at the base of The Great Rift Valley and up the rift valley escarpment through town of Karatu. We will proceed to drive through Ngorongoro Conservation Area while game viewing on the way towards the Serengeti plains. We will stop at Olduvai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey's famous discoveries of man's ancient ancestors, the Zinjanthropus Bosei. We will take tour of the site and the museum. After the tour of the site we will take our picnic lunch and proceed with our game drive through the endless plains of Serengeti.  We will spend the rest of the day game viewing on the southern plains of Serengeti on our way to our overnight lodge.

Day 5: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Today we will leave after leisurely break fast for a full day game drive. We will make our way towards the northern part of the Serengeti National Park. Far from the beaten tourist track, the northern Serengeti offers the unique opportunity to explore the fantastic Serengeti undisturbed. Off-road is still allowed in this part of the park to get you the closest possible to the wildlife unlike the rest of the park.  Tonight dinner and your overnight will be at a mobile camp. These camps offer you the feel of camping, but provide all the amenities of lodging. Enjoy sitting by the campfire while listening to the nocturnal animals nearby.

Day 6: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
We will leave very early in the morning for a sunrise game drive when animals are very active hunting and grazing in the park. Our main goal today will be following the migration of about 2 millions Wildebeests and Zebras and a big number of predators hunting them as they migrate. We will spend full day in the northern Serengeti; the stunning Mara River filled with Hippos and Crocodiles cuts through this part of the park and hosts of the greatest spectacles of nature: the dramatic wildebeest's migration. It is in this part of the park where you can witness the world famous wildebeest's river crossing as seen on National Geographic and Discovery Channels on TV. In the evening we will return to the mobile camp for dinner and ovenight.

Day 7: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Today we will leave after leisurely breakfast and drive to central Serengeti while game viewing on the way. We will spend the first part of the day game viewing in the Lobo area while making our way towards the Seronera river valley, an area rich with wildlife year round and is set high on the saddle of tree-clad ridge commanding panoramic views over the endlessly rolling reaches and volcanic reefs of the Serengeti. We will make a stop at the Retima Hippo pool where you will you will have a chance to get out of the vehicle and walk close to the river to see the Hippos at close proximity. With chances, you might be able to see Crocodiles too on the same pool or somewhere on the river. In the evening we will drive to our lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA & THE MAIN CRATER
Today we will leave after breakfast in the morning and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area while game viewing on the way. We will arrive at our next overnight lodge built on the Ngorongoro main crater rim just in time for lunch. After lunch we will drive down the Ngorongoro main crater which is about 2000 feet deep and 14 miles wide. The crater hosts a remarkable wildlife spectacle. There is savanna, bush land, forests and lakes, inhabited by the same range of game, from Elephant to Lion to Wildebeest; there is even a soda lake for the Flamingos. In the evening we will drive back to our overnight lodge which is built on the rim with spectacular views of the crater.

Day 9: NGORONGORO MAIN CRATER
We will wake up early in the morning and start driving down the Ngorongoro crater. We will spend the rest of the day exploring the Ngorongoro crater which is a World Heritage Site, home to nearly 25,000 animals, giving you a very real chance of spotting the big five: lion, elephant, endangered black rhino, buffalo and leopard plus countless other African mammal species. Witness the magnificent array of habitats, each with its own unique wildlife and flora. Take time out to stretch your legs and enjoy a picnic lunch at Ngoitokitok Springs watching the hippos jostle for position in the water. After lunch we will proceed with game viewing and in the evening, we will drive to our next overnight lodge for dinner.

Day 10: DRIVE BACK TO ARUSHA & FLY BACK HOME

We will leave after breakfast and drive back to Arusha with few stops at souvenirs shops which are beautifully decorated and full of high quality authentic artworks, sculptures, antiques, fabrics and textiles from Tanzania. We will arrive in Arusha for dinner and provide you with a day room for you to freshen up. In the evening we will transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
