Classic Tanzania Safari
Day 1: ARRIVE AT KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (JRO)
We will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport on you arrival and transfer
to your overnight lodge which is built in an old coffee plantation. Moivaro
Coffee Plantation is a lovely lodge set beautifully against the back drop of
Mt. Meru, the fifth highest mountain in Africa at 15,000 ft. Each of the cottages,
comfortable with modern facilities, have the spectacular view of Mt. Meru
which can be enjoyed from the private verandah. On a clear day, you can have brilliant
views of Mt.Kilimanjaro (19730ft) from the lodge.

Day 2: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK (day 1 on safari)
We will leave early in the morning after breakfast for Tarangire National Park.
Your first experience of safari life will be the thrilling game drive through
vastness of Tarangire National Park. Game driving through the park, you will
marvel at the beauty of this pristine wilderness before arriving at our overnight
lodge which nestles into a wooded hillside valley overlooking Tarangire Hill.
Each of the rooms is comfortable with basic necessities provided. The lodge
large public area to relax in the evenings and enjoy the surrounding baobab filled
landscape.

Day 3: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK (day 2 on safari)
We will leave early in the morning for Lake Manyara National Park and arrive
at park gate late morning. We will spend the rest of the day game viewing in
the park and around the lake, which is known for its big population of Flamingos.
Lake Mayara is also famous for it tree-climbing lions. At sunset we will drive
to our overnight lodge which is perched on the edge of Mto wa Mbu escarpment,
and overlooks the Great Rift Valley and the Manyara soda lake.

Day 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK (day 3 on safari)
We will leave early in the morning and drive through the small town of Karatu
towards Ngorongoro conservation area. We will drive around the main Ngorongoro
crater rim while game viewing towards the Serengeti endless plains. We will
be spending most of the day game viewing on the plains and following the great
migration of Wildebeests and Zebras. We will proceed with the game drive heading
towards our overnight lodge which is located in the Seronera, an area rich with
wildlife year round. Serengeti Serena Lodge is set discreetly high on a hill,
offering magnificent view of the rolling unspoiled wilderness of the Serengeti
plains. The theme of the lodge reflects a Maasai Village complete with Maasai
Warriors. Each of the spacious Maasai huts with modern facilities has its own
private verandah offering amazing views of the vast Serengeti plains below, home
to the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth.

Day 5: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK (day 4 on safari)
We will leave very early in the morning for sunrise game drive when animals
are very active grazing on the grasslands and the predators are busy hunting.
We will spend the entire day game viewing and following the great migration of
wildebeests and a big number of predators hunting them as they migrate. We will
take a picnic lunch under an acacia tree. We will put more concentration game
viewing around Moru Kopjes with great chances of seen Black Rhinos and Leopards.
In the evening we will return back to our lodge, just in time for sundowner.
We will spend the rest of the evening swimming or relaxing by the pool admiring
the beautiful sunset over the plains
Overnight: Serengeti Serena Lodge
Day 6: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK (day 5 on safari)
Today we will leave after leisurely breakfast for western Serengeti while game
viewing on the way and arriving at the lodge for lunch. After lunch we will
go to the Grumet River very famous for its large number of the most aggressive
and biggest Crocodiles and Hippos in Africa. We will spend time observing the
Crocodiles hunting for wildebeests and sharing the same habitat with the Hippos.
We will leave after sunset to one of the most prestigious small luxury hotels
of the world. Kirawira Luxury Tented Camp is lusciously set upon a hill of the
Western Corridor of Serengeti, offering views of the endless savanna allowing
you to feel the soul of the African wilderness in close proximity. The Victorian
era outpost with Tanzanian element set in the remote regions of the Grumeti River
is home to a variety of big game. The 25 luxury tents complemented by highest
standards of personalized attention, luxurious sleeping and sleeping arrangements
complemented by valet service, superb cuisine and service are carefully

Day 7: NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA (day 6 on safari)
Today we will leave after leisurely breakfast and make our way towards Ngorongoro
conservation area while game viewing on the plains. We will stop at Olduvai
Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey's famous discoveries of man's ancient
ancestors, the Zinjanthropus Bosei. We will take tour of the site and the museum.
After the tour we will have our picnic lunch and proceed with our game drive
after lunch. If you interested we can stop to visit a Masai Boma (village), learn
and explore their traditions and ways of life. We will have a chance to see
them performing their traditional dances and if interested you can join in the
dance to add something to your adventure resume! In the evening we will drive
back to our overnight lodge which is built on the rim with spectacular views of
the crater. Ngorongoro Serena Lodge exists in perfect harmony with the natural
environment. Awarded the green globe, the plant and ivy-covered stone camouflaged
lodge has elegant rooms ornately decorated with local materials. Most of the
rooms have a private terrace offering incredible views of the vast conservation
area inhabited by the Masai tribe as well as an abundant variety of wildlife
and birdlife.

Day 8: NGORONGORO CRATER TOUR / ARUSHA (day 7 on safari)
We will wake up early in the morning and start driving down the Ngorongoro
crater which is about 2000 feet deep and 14 miles wide. The crater hosts a remarkable
wildlife spectacle. There is savanna, bush land, forests and lakes, inhabited
by the same range of game, from Elephant to Lion to Wildebeest; there is
even a soda lake for the Flamingos. We will spend the day exploring the Ngorongoro
crater which is a World Heritage Site, home to nearly 25,000 animals, giving
you a very real chance of spotting the big five: lion, elephant, endangered black
rhino, buffalo and leopard plus countless other African mammal species. Witness
the magnificent array of habitats, each with its own unique wildlife and
flora. Take time out to stretch your legs and enjoy a picnic lunch at Ngoitokitok
Springs watching the hippos jostle for position in the water. In the afternoon
we will leave the crater and drive back to Arusha with few stops at souvenirs
shops which are beautifully decorated and full of high quality authentic artworks,
sculptures, antiques, fabrics and textiles from Tanzania. In Arusha, we will
provide a day room for you to freshen up and have dinner. In the evening we
will transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
